As part of my work as Project Officer at UHI in 2024, my colleague and I collaborated with Ardnamurchan Lighthouse Trust to create an on-site audio trail and support the development of a sustainable social media strategy for the community-run attraction. A focus of this project was supporting with digital capacity building, ensuring we did not overwhelm, ‘come in and take over’, or add too much extra to an already limited resource. The second part of the project was co-creating a audio trail on Geotourist sharing the ‘Stories of Ardnamurchan Lighthouse’ using oral history gathered from the community.
